Enjoyed a 1400 mile road trip around the eastern Sierra mountains out of San Francisco. “Andrew” the Transport XLT drove great. Loved having the back up camera, inverter and Sirius radio as well as the electric cooler. Figured out cooler with trial and error, but nice to not have to buy ice daily. Bed was comfy and blankets were warm on the cool nights. Great experience and would definitely use Lost Campervans again.

Great camper van rental company. Very friendly and uncomplicated. Would definitely book with them again.

Had a wonderful 10 days in our van! Bed was super comfortable and the set up was simple but effective. Our battery died (was a bad battery) and the support line staff were amazing. Stacia organised for a new battery for us nearby, and reimbursed us without a hitch.

We had a great experience with Lost Campers. We took our van, Violet, to Yosemite, Kings Canyon, and Sequoia National Parks for a week-long vacation. We liked the discreet design of the vans, which didn't have the excessive advertisement of some other van rental companies; we saw some pretty obnoxious van designs during our trip. Other things we liked included the friendly employees, convenient kitchen set-up, fairly comfortable bed (as comfortable as you could reasonably expect for a mattress that rolls up), and a very clean van. Things we thought could be improved: adding information in the binder about nearby locations to get gas, and to clean up the van with a vacuum before drop-off. We easily got this information by calling, but having it in the binder would be convenient, especially as many Lost Campers won't have cell reception during their trips!

Lost Campers SLC absolutely rocked! I had one of their minivans for a five day excursion during Utah's Spike 150 celebration of the 1869 completion of the Transcontinental Railroad. The Dodge Grand Caravan (named Scottie) was the perfect tool for the job! Comfortable bed, sufficient kitchen, and it drove 1000% better than any regular rental RV ever would – which was great up on the windy plateaus of Utah and Wyoming. And the staff... goodness personified. Give these people your business if you ever need a lightweight rig for an outdoor adventure!

Had a fab week exploring Northern and Central CA in our Lost Campers van, Jules. Van was kitted out with everything we needed and no hidden fees like other hire companies. Bed was super comfy and easy to assemble. All in all, our experience was great and I couldn’t recommend them more!!

We had a great trip wandering around California. A few bits of equipment would have made a difference for us but overall we're were very happy. Great service from the staff at both Los Angeles and San Francisco. This a great way to travel in the USA. Load the Campendium app onto your phone to find the best and cheapest ways to camp. Some parks are as expensive as staying in a motel.

We have rented camper vans from Lost Campers on several occasions. What we love is that they are easy to drive mini vans that can be parked in any camping spot. They are basic, simple to use and everything you need for a camping trip for two; and the price is right 😀 Because we live close to San Francisco, we supplement with some of our own bedding and kitchen equipment, especially coffee making stuff as that isn't provided with the van. Great team at the office to deal with. We will definitely be back. Maybe next time we'll do a one way to LA and get the Coast Starlight train back.

Absolutely LOVE this company! My husband and I used their van to travel up and down the coast of California and it was amazing! So convenient, affordable and comfortable. The people who rented to us were very helpful and flexible. We were made to feel safe and accommodated while renting through them. Excited to rent again!

Rented a camper van for almost a week in Yellow stone and it was awesome! This was our first can experience. The van is very functional and has everything for you to be autonomous. They may even lend lighter and propane if they have some left. We miss the van already!read more

We had great great time in the Yellowstone thank's to the van. I do a lot of mountaineering and we are used to travel light, a big RV is not my thing + it"s really cheaper. Once we had mastered the art of setting up the roof tent we could do it with my kids in less then 5 min (clocked). Though I would advise to do it once on the parking lot before leaving especially if you plan to arrive late at your first destination.read more

My wife and I have always wanted to go through the National Parks in a camper van, but the timing added the twist that we needed to do this with a four month old. With that we needed a camper van that could support an infant car seat. Lost campers had the perfect solution and offered the camper van we needed. The service was excellent and we visited the parks for fifteen days with our son. It was the experience of a lifetime. Thank You Lost Campers SLC :)read more

We took one of Lost Campers' vans for a two week trip up through the Grand Teton and Yellowstone national parks, and I couldn't be happier with the quality of the service we received and the product itself. I have never used a camper van before and my son was camping alongside, so it was kind of a novel experience, but it turned out perfectly. We got unpacking and packing down to a fine art, so that we were able to get early starts so as to secure great sites in the national park camping grounds, and then get started early each day to see the animals and thermal sites before the crowds arrived. The van was perfect for us, and I would thoroughly recommend this approach to anyone seeking flexibility. And Lost Campers were great - booking all this from Australia meant I got a couple of dates mixed up, but they were terrific about changing things around, and the guy in their Salt Lake City office was really knew his stuff - a very pleasant group to deal with....read more

This is our fifth campervan rental and first with Lost Campers. Amazing value (other SLC rentals were 2x to 3x the price!) and completely met our needs. We rented the Sierra Class. Kitchen in the back is convenient, duffel storage is accessible without folding the bed, foam bed is extraordinarily comfortable, staff super efficient and friendly. Can’t recommend enough. Per other reviews, bring a small cutting board otherwise everything you could need is provided. If staying around the Salt Lake City area, recommend you get weekend campsite reservations. On weekdays we had no problem finding walk up campground spots. Remember to bring your American The Beautiful Pass for the federal forests.read more

We absolutely loved the van and the flexibility it gave us to change plans on the fly and to stop and take naps while you're en route something you can't really do with hotels . We estimate it saved us almost 2K in hotel fees for our two week trip. Loved having a sink if for nothing else to wash our hands and the bed was comfortable and private. We purchased a sunscreen shield to make it even more private from the front for $3. The key is to always find showers before nighttime (RV parks and truck stops are usually $12 to shower but some campsites allow you to use their coin showers which cost around $2 for 8 minutes) .so that you get into the bedding clean. Despite being big and spacious the van drove like a car.read more

We rented the roof top tent version and had so much fun on our road trip! We slept inside when it was crazy cold in Yellowstone, but up in the tent for the rest. Great support team and very helpful customer service. If you are picking up your rental in Salt Lake, be advised that the office is in a nondescript grey building. Hopefully Lost Campers will be installing a bigger sign soon. We would definitely rent from these folks again. Now go get lost!read more

Great budget campervan! Cheapest one I found in Utah by far. I basically used it as a place to sleep rather than dealing with setting up tents and finding tent sites at night. The little sink in the back was handy for brushing my teeth but I didn’t use it more than that.read more

We took the van for 5 days and drove to Teton and Yellowstone National parks, and Antelope Island (which is a gem) driving just under 1000 miles return trip. We were really pleased about how smooth the whole Lost Camper hire and return process was, and how friendly and helpful Aspen and Drew were. The Dodge van was kitted out with everything we needed including sink, fresh water and waste containers , tables, bedding (and comfortable bed) chairs, gas cooker, crockery, etc. An added bonus was that we also picked up some essential things that previous campers had returned unused such as maps, bear spray (thankfully re-returned unused!) and laundry soap, etc. A great experience. The only thing that could be improved was information on the LC website about bringing towels. Highly recommended for people wanting an adventure..read more

Camper-van was excellent in size and easy to manage. The staff were extremely helpful and were able to help with our first time driving in the US. We recently rented a van from Lost Campers for a month. From check in to check out the staff were very friendly and efficient (thanks Byron) and when we had a cracked windscreen they organised a replacement with one phone call and zero hassles. The van itself was perfect for us for camping in State and National Parks. It had everything we needed for cooking and the bed was super comfortable. Lost Campers made our spring break trip terrific! Well, and the great California weather, ocean and beach time. I just love traveling with your housing and the ability to have an open itinerary. The bed inside the van and the Tepui tent on top were both very comfie. The set up is pretty slick, everything you need including the kitchen sink! I liked that the van was plain (not painted with crazy scenes and colors as some companies do) we could blend in easily. We absolutely loved this company! It was our first time traveling in this kind of van, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The vans are comfortable, safe, warm at night (even in the cold desert) and have great amenities. A huge plus is how discreet the vans look - great for parking in cities, with super tinted windows, not advertising that all your stuff is inside. :) We would definitely recommend this company to anyone wanting to travel with more freedom and ease around the West Coast.read more

We camped with Lost Campers 2 summers ago in Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. We had their campervan named Joanne for 28 days and it was fantastic!! Picked her up in Salt Lake City. Fully equipped with dishes and a cooler and a camp stove and bedding and pots and pans and dishes and silverware. Mattress was super comfortable and even the pillows were included in the rental. We just needed our towels and our clothes and some food and off we went! Service was amazing and the employees are super helpful. They even have an area filled with stuff other campers donated when they finished their trips. New campers are invited to help themselves. We got a nearly full propane canister and some foodstuffs. We also donated bunches when we returned the van.read more
When we booked the REDWOOD, it's promised by an employee that a TENTROOF would be set up to sleep a total of 4 peoples on our trip to California. Surprised when we arrived, no TENTROOF installed, the employee would have been thrown out due to bad information provided and no compensation possible due to his lack of professionalism .. An on-shore tent was lent without mattress and interestingly, the Most of the reserved campsites would not accept the tents ashore ... so we had to pay more to sleep at the hotel .. very disappointed with the service offered.read more
